Guidelines

Content guidelines

Plotloom is a quiet shelf for short fiction with transparent AI labels, not a dumping ground for generated text. These guidelines define what we allow on the public shelf and how moderation decisions are made.

What we currently allow

We prioritize original serial fiction, AI-assisted stories, human-edited AI drafts, and chapter-based narrative work that readers can reasonably follow.

The public beta currently focuses on general and teen-friendly fiction. Explicit adult fiction is not part of the public shelf.

What is restricted or prohibited

Explicit adult fiction, sexual content involving minors, impersonation of real people, exposure of personal information, clear rights infringement, and spam uploads are prohibited.

Political fiction and social commentary are allowed, but political incitement, hate-driven abuse, coordinated harassment, threats, or comment-bait intended to trigger pile-ons may be hidden or restricted after reports or queue review.

AI disclosure and editing responsibility

Authors are expected to disclose meaningful AI involvement. Public stories may surface with lightweight AI labels so readers understand how the work was made.

Even when AI creates a draft, the uploader remains responsible for the final public version, including rights, safety, likeness, privacy, and moderation issues attached to it.

Raw generated output, repetitive filler, or low-effort prompt dumps may be restricted even if they do not violate a specific safety rule.

Review and enforcement

New uploads or chapters flagged by warning signals may enter pending review before going public.

Repeated violations can lead to comment hiding, story restrictions, writer feature limits, and account suspension in escalating steps.

Moderation decisions may be adjusted after additional context, appeal, or repeated reports.

Community reactions and AI accusations

AI involvement can be disclosed for story creation, but comments, reviews, and feedback should be written by people. Bulk AI-generated reactions presented as human feedback are not allowed.

Public accusations, mockery, or pile-ons about suspected AI use may be restricted. If a label seems inaccurate, use a report or contact path instead of turning it into public harassment.

Account age expectations

Plotloom is not intended for children under 13.

Users under 13 may not create accounts or submit content to the platform.

If we learn that an account belongs to a user under 13, we may restrict or remove the account and associated submissions.
