Black Card Valentine · Chapter 3
Episode 3. The Confession They Did Not Say
One minute remained before midnight.
Seoa wanted to confess. The word itself was forbidden. She knew Junho wanted to say it too. He did not let go of her hand. His feet kept searching for the beat.
Right before the last song ended, Seoa changed the choreography instead of speaking. The turn Junho had missed in their first class. The step they had laughed over during summer camp. The rhythm they had practiced in a rainy hallway where no teacher could see them. Everything that would become a confession if said aloud became a sequence.
Junho answered by giving each movement back.
When the clock passed midnight, both black student cards turned white. No one vanished from the attendance book the next morning.
On the auditorium wall, two blank name plates under a graduation photo filled in at last.
Seoa. Junho.
The people who remembered without saying it.
