The Trainee Who Failed Tomorrow · Chapter 2
Episode 2. The Future Gets Sharper
Eden deleted the messages and powered off his phone.
His own voice came through the practice-room speaker.
"Do not erase me. Every time I tried to erase it, the future became sharper."
In the mirror, Eden looked one day more exhausted than himself. The future version described the evaluation room: the right light would blink once, one judge would drop a pen, and somebody would cough before the final chorus.
"When it happens, do not react. Do not fix anything."
The next evening, the right light blinked. Eden's eyes moved before he could stop them. A judge dropped a pen. His fingers twitched. Someone coughed before the final chorus, and Eden understood too late.
The future had not warned him about mistakes.
It had been manufacturing them.
